Pass Along Kindness, not germs!

It seems like we are hearing nothing but the status of COVID- 19. A couple of things I would like us to keep in mind. In response to the COVID -19 virus, WCPSS is taking measures with the guidance of CDC guidelines, and local health officials.

We know that what we can do is
1. Wash hands frequently and for a long enough time to kill germs.
2. Allow students the time to engage in additional hand washing (see my email)
3. Stay home if you are sick and send students to the health room who report not feeling well.

Please note: These are not unlike the precautions we take yearly for the cold and flu season.
While we do need to be careful and follow all guidelines, please be aware that it is possible that some students will react poorly to others from the parts of the world that we keep hearing are most effected. Please listen out for that and remind students to be kind to one another. All students deserve a warm and inviting school environment and we have to trust that health officials are taking necessary precautions on a more macro level.

If you are getting questions from parents please direct them to me or to the information provided on our website.

Please be advised that...
State and federal law prohibits the school system from sharing confidential information about students and employees. While we understand that parents may have concerns, they do not have the legal right to know information about a student or staff member's country of origin, health status, places traveled or family members.

Thank you as always for practicing sound judgment with regard to this and all matters related to student health and safety.

  1. A lot went on this past week. Lots of us don't get to see what goes on in the classrooms. Kudos to Mrs.Driggers and Dylan. Anu and company did an outstanding job with the lobby wall.
